Everyone seems to be noting facts about themselves. To better serve my fellow man, I'm listing facts to help them, seeing as no one gives a shit about the time I fell on my head off the jungle gym in elementary school.

25 Things Everyone Should Know (A Preventative Survival Guide for Superior Healths)

1. When in doubt, rub it out.
2.The key to woodland survival is to remember how delicious you are.

The notion of images as species is interesting.This allows us to remove value judgments from criticism and form new methods of classification. Would this method remove content analysis and if as image-makers if we are just vessels through which these images flow how important is it what we make? Maybe the creation of new “species” (at least looking back to the history of art) relies on making what hasn’t been made. But how the hell does one go about making an image that in its original form holds no immediate discourse with its predecessors? It seems to me like mutation is the answer. The creation of a new species of image through the information of a previous genus.

A Consuming Consumer’s Guide to Consuming Good Arts

Pieces of good art should be hung neatly on barren white walls or placed neatly on pristine white pedestals. Pieces of good art should also be something you step over on the way to see the good art on the walls and pedestals.

These good arts should be in nice, white, postmodern structures. These good arts should also be in warehouses and shopping malls.

The people that consume these good arts should have quite a bit of money. Those without, however, should also be consuming the good arts.

The clothes that these consuming consumers should wear to these postmodern structures are tuxedos and evening gowns appropriate for soirées. Baseball caps, tube tops, and Bermuda shorts are also acceptable.

These people that consume the good arts should drive to these structures in very nice automobiles. It is also acceptable to walk or sprint to these structures.

The homes that these good art consumers depart from should also have very nice arts inside of them. Good arts can also be placed on front lawns or on the wall over toilets.

When not consuming good arts at these postmodern structures or at home, these consumers should do their best to make sure there is good art in front of their places of employment to be viewed upon entering. It is also acceptable to have calendars or screensavers featuring good arts in a consuming consumer’s office.

When these consumers of good arts return from their places of work to their homes, they should talk and read about good arts. It is also acceptable to talk about how good arts relate to football, super models, and gameshows.

The awkwardness was overwhelming.

I couldn't stand to look at her, least of all through the viewfinder.
As I returned home I came to the realization that it wasn't dealing with her that was the problem. It was the fact that she was forcing me to be confronted with the image of her.

The image of her has become more powerful than her actual presence.
I remember burning every picture of her except for a single Polaroid.
Why just one?
Was I trying to erase the memory...but not the idea?

Now as I edit the pictures of her she stares me down through the lifelessness of the monitor. The face I used to kiss is now reduced to pixels.
